{Thank you!}

SnowflakesforallseasonsI just want to say thanks to everyone who's been commenting on my blog lately. It means a lot. It's difficult to reply to all of you...I try, but never seem to get to all of you. Personal life stuff is most important, as is work stuff. I've been dealing with some issues this past week, such as finally finding a resting place for my father's ashes, and today, my mother's high blood pressure caused a visit to the hospital. She's OK now. I think it was a change in meds. But still scary, nonetheless...And I always want to be able to post art stuff when I do blog, but can't always do that. I think that's why I don't post as much as I'd like! I wanted to dig into my well of photoillustration work to show you something from there, BUT, I need to figure out the watermark thing. So, I will post a cover of  a book I designed last year. It can be found in your craft section of your bookstore. And just in time for winter! Although it's for year-round!

I also want to broach an unsettling, yet somewhat small, trend in the blogosphere. I've been noticing lately blogs that are going by the wayside. Not bloggers who are lax in posting. Not that at all. Bloggers who are choosing to stop blogging altogether. Weird. Some of my favorites have shut down their blogs. A couple of them are scrappers. Another is an illustrator. Can someone help me to understand this? I know that blogging isn't for everyone. It can take over a good portion of your day. And blog-hopping can eat up quite a few hours of the day, too! But, it doesn't take long to maybe post once a week. I don't post as often as I should. Once a week doesn't take that much of my time. I think I spend more time checking out other blogs...

I'm not saying anything bad about these people. I'm sure they have very valid reasons. But it just seems strange. And a little sad. These were people whose insight sort of aided me. They inspired me. They encouraged me. And they didn't even know it...
