I got a nasty e-mail today from one of the 1000 AJP contributors. This person feels that their work is too good to be in the book. How bold.
When I look at this book, I am so proud! So many great journal pages. But this person doesn't feel that these pages are "art". Hmph.
I responded VERY tartly, which I probably shouldn't have. This person belittled my role in the book, saying I shouldn't be considered an "author" when I didn't CREATE the work that I chose. OK.
I ended my e-mail with this: If this is how you feel, then I think next time you should seriously consider whether you should submit your work to anything.
