NaNoJouMo Day 1
It’s time for NaNoJouMo!
For the last couple of years, I’ve presented song titles. In 2012, we did old rock songs. Last year, we did titles of songs that I’ve always liked. This year, we’re going to do titles of songs that inspire me to create.
Of course, when I created this list, a few songs had already been presented in years past. I wanted this to be a new list—it went through a few revisions.
These songs inspire me, whether it be the lyrics, the actual tune, or the artist. I really love all kinds of music because it’s more the ARTIST that attracts me, not the genre. Lately, I’ve been taking guitar lessons, so I am drawn to a lot of music that’s guitar-heavy. I guess I always have been, now that I think about it.
These prompts are meant to inspire YOU, and get you creating in your journal, whatever that may involve. Don’t feel like you have to do an entire page every day. I never journal that way. I skip around in my journals and work on whatever I’m drawn to at that time.
Have fun with these, whether it be the lyrics, the title, or the tune itself. Maybe just listening to it gets you motivated. If you aren’t familiar with a title, seek it out on iTunes or Pandora. Hopefully, this list will have something that appeals to everyone.
Today’s tune is from one of my favorite new artists, Lorde. This woman is SO talented. Actually the whole album is a win. She rocks live, too. Oh, and sorry, San Francisco! I know this song was banned from the airwaves in your city during the World Series.
And if you’d like to know about the history of NaNoJouMo, please read a couple posts back where I discuss how the idea originated.
Also, please do not use the song title images on other websites. If you would like to link to these posts on your blog or social media, that’s great! Thanks!
